Joseph Chakkour founded Legal Alien Consulting LLC after navigating his own journey as an international student in the United States. Like many, Joseph arrived in the U.S. with big dreams, but quickly encountered the unique challenges that international students face. From landing an internship, obtaining a Social Security Number, and getting the necessary work authorizations, to securing a full-time return offer, each step demanded countless hours, trial and error, and persistence. With limited guidance available, he had to piece together information on his own, often hitting dead ends and learning by experience.

Through this trial-and-error process, Joseph developed a clear, straightforward path that significantly increases students’ chances of landing internships and securing job offers—just as he did, ultimately obtaining an internship and then a job with an American Fortune 50 company, even without prior U.S. work experience.

Today, Legal Alien is committed to helping students and their families navigate these complex processes with clarity and confidence. From its background, it understands the concerns many students and parents have about the lack of job security for international students in the U.S., as well as the high stakes involved from navigating the complexities of the U.S. legal systems to securing career opportunities.
